We went on a business trip to Prague, and even though we stopped in Vienna, we will skip the hotel reviews because this is a website about hotels in Croatia. We spent so many hours in our car during a hot July week, that we had to pace ourselves. On our way back to Rab, we had to take a break and we decided to stay at the Hotel Well. Not to mention, a meeting in Zagreb came up, so we wanted something close to Zagreb but not in Zagreb.
Yes, we are picky when it comes to hotels. We took a detour in Terme Tuhelj, and boy, was it a great decision. We were happier to review a hotel outside of Zagreb, and Zagorje is perfect because it has so much to offer!

Packed with a program for both kids and adults (unlimited beer tap and wine tap). Once you park your car, you don’t have to go anywhere. There is also a great chance that once your vacation ends and you do leave, you will come back.

When we were there in July 2024, there was a big construction adjacent to the hotel. It’s a bit of an eye-sore when you arrive at the hotel, but we stayed way on the other side, so we saw it only when we arrived and drove off.

Once you enter the room, there’s a nice surprise. A bottle of water from the local spring! The water is free, but you can purchase the glass bottle as it is being used to refill at the local spring.

One of the highlights of Terme Tuhelj is its extensive selection of outdoor pools, which are a paradise for both children and adults. The resort’s Aquapark offers a variety of pools, including those with thermal water, wave pools, and children’s pools equipped with water slides and splash zones. The water attractions are meticulously maintained, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all ages.
To be honest, we were traveling on business, so we didn’t have a bathing suit and weren’t at the pools. But it was obvious from afar that other guests were having a great time there!

I already mentioned that with a small fee, you are allowed to used beer and wine on tap. Hotel Well wants to make sure you are properly fed and filled.

Perhaps not the most important thing, but I’d like to mention there’s a great car wash right next to the hotel. As we were leaving I was able to wash my car (remember I just drove from Prague, and we started another long drive to Rab).
